Dale is still doing great as he reaches his one year anniversary of the diagnosis. Dale has regained about 10 pounds of the 30 he lost over the course of diagnosis, treatment and recovery. He continues on a lot of maintenance medications. Some for his heart, most for his lungs and their function. He does have some pain in his chest when he coughs...this appears to be residual scar tissues pulling when he coughs. Dale can walk enough to do the grocery shopping and take the vehicles in for maintenance work, etc. He enjoys cooking and grilling - always glad when company comes to give him a reason to fire up the grill!
Dale and Jackie will be traveling the high seas this year for Christmas. They will join my family for 7 days in the Western Caribbean aboard the Voyager of the Seas. Santa visits cruise ships, too!
Dale and Jackie are standing a tad taller lately. Word that they will soon be Great Grandparents has definitely put a sparkle in their eyes and a spring in their step. Congrats to Mike and Rachel!
