Dr. Rice met with us a few minutes ago. He explained the small complication of the adhered lung. The pathology report showed no cancer in the margins. GREAT NEWS THERE!
The removal of the lobe was made difficult by the location of a nerve which serves the vocal cords. This may cause Dale to be hoarse for a while.
Dale's vitals are good and he'll be in recovery for a couple of hours and then moved to a regular room.
Dr. Rice will make rounds this evening and we'll know more after we see Dale.
